Free, no commitment — you'll be first to hear when a date is set.

What to expect when we open

When the doors open, Agave will be a full-service hospital for dogs and cats: wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, dental care with dental X-rays, spay and neuter and other surgeries, in-house lab work, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and laser therapy. We also plan to hold room in the schedule for same-day sick and urgent visits during regular hours whenever we can.

Planned hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday — planned being the operative word, since we may adjust before opening day. One thing Agave will not be is a 24-hour emergency hospital. If your pet needs help before we open, or ever needs care outside regular veterinary hours, contact your regular veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary provider.

How to be first through the door

The opening list is the whole pitch: send us your name and your pets' names through the contact page, and you're on it. No deposit, no commitment. We'll email when there's something real to report — a firm opening date, the online scheduler going live, the first appointment slots opening up.

In the meantime, there's nothing else you need to do. When opening gets close, we'll walk you through transferring your pet's records and booking a first visit. If you have a question we haven't answered here or on our FAQs page, email admin@agavevet.com.

Where we're building

The hospital is going up at 6021 S River Rd, St. George, UT 84790 — on River Road, on the fast-growing south side of town. That puts us within an easy drive of Bloomington, Washington, Santa Clara, Ivins, and Hurricane, and we expect to see pets from all over Washington County.

If River Road is part of your regular route, you can watch the building take shape between now and opening day. We'll post construction milestones on our Facebook and Instagram pages as we hit them.

Who's behind Agave

Agave is independently owned by two local veterinarians — no corporate parent; owned outright by the veterinarians who will work here. Co-founder Dr. Nicole Sorensen, DVM, is one of them, and she's building the kind of practice she'd want for her own pets: unhurried appointments and a team that knows your pet by name.

That independence matters more than it used to. Across the country, national corporate groups have been buying up local veterinary practices at a steady pace — often without the sign out front ever changing. Agave is being built to stay locally owned, which means decisions about how your pet is cared for get made in St. George, by the veterinarians in the exam room. There's more of the story on our About page.
